DataGrand Prix
The VOVA.TODAY Intergalactic Prize for Data Visualization
An independent review of work that turns evidence into a clear visual argument.
01 / Mandate
Evidence deserves a form equal to its weight.
The Grand Prix recognizes maps, charts, data stories, research interfaces and visual systems with a visible method and a finding that can be examined.
Scale, client and audience do not determine the result. The jury looks at the work itself, including labels at inconvenient zoom levels.
02 / Assessment
The judging protocol
Every entry is reviewed against the same four measures. Reputation is not one of them.
- 0135%
Integrity
Sources, method and an honest scale.
- 0230%
Clarity
The finding is clear without an author standing nearby.
- 0325%
Form
Visual decisions serve the subject and the reader.
- 0410%
Cosmic significance
The work leaves its immediate orbit.
03 / Disciplines
Four fields of distinction
Static form
Posters, spreads and still images designed to hold attention without motion.
Interactive system
Tools and interfaces where interaction changes what the reader can know.
Time-based work
Motion and video in which time establishes the reading order.
Unclassified object
Work that resists the first three fields and still presents evidence.
